Barcelona almost confirmed their league title, but a big UCL game is awaiting them in Madrid with much hope and excitement. We will take a look at the list of key injured players prior to the big fixture and their potential return dates.

Raphinha

Raphinha got injured in Brazil's match vs France on 28th March. In this season he is getting injured in the same hamstring for the third time, which is not good for the team and the 29-year-old.

The crucial thing here is that Raphinha will miss the second leg vs Athletico Madrid and a potential UCL semi-final if they qualify; the player is expected to come back after his 5-week recovery for El Clásico on May 10.

Christensen

The Danish centre-back injured his knee in December and is not expected to feature in any game this season; his contract expires in summer, so we may never see him in a Barcelona outfit on the ground, even though the player has been injury-prone recently, but no one could forget his iconic defensive performance in the left centre-back role in the league-winning campaign with Xavi.

Bernal

Marc Bernal just came back from a painful ACL tear earlier this season and delivered a big performance in midfield for the team along with Frenkie and Pedri, but he got injured at a very important stage of the season due to an ankle sprain. The player got his spot on Barcelona's squad ahead of the UCL clash with Atlético Madrid, but his participation in the match will be based on the medical clearance from the medical team. If he does not come back in the next match, then he will be available for the league match vs Celta Vigo.
