Barcelona Submit Opening Offer

Barcelona have approached Borussia Dortmund with the intention of bringing Karim Adeyemi to Barcelona in the summer to strengthen the team’s attack, according to Gerad Romero. The Catalan giants have already sent their first official bid for the German winger to close the deal at a rapid pace, as they did in the case of Antony Gordon.

Adeyemi Agrees Personal Terms

Karim Adeyemi has already agreed to personal terms with Barcelona for a long-term contract until 2031, and Barcelona is the only preferred destination for the player if he leaves Borussia Dortmund in the summer. He has 1 year left on his contract with the German club; Adeyemi prefers to join Barcelona in the summer or leave as a free agent next summer.

Dortmund Hold Firm on Valuation

Sky Sports reported that Barcelona have submitted a bid worth €20 million to Borussia Dortmund. They value him at €40 million, but the team realized that it is difficult to get that value for Adeyemi with just 1 year left on his contract, so they are working to close the deal on a package around €30 million plus solid resale and bonus clauses.

Why Hansi Flick Wants Adeyem

Adeyemi is a preferred target for Barcelona manager Hansi Flick. Flick has already worked with the player in the German national team and is aware of the 24-year-old's potential to become a world-class attacker under his leadership.

The player is comfortable playing on either flank with his exceptional pace and footwork. He is identified as one of the fastest players on the planet, with a recorded top speed of 37.28 km/h in European competitions.

The German winger is a consistent performer in the Bundesliga with double-digit goal contributions in the last 2 years. He is also renowned for his performances on Champions League nights for Dortmund.

Barcelona Aim to Seal Deal Quickly

Fabrizio Romano suggested that Barcelona want to close the deal in the upcoming hours without going for a much improved offer; they want to utilize the market opportunity to sign him at a lower cost without any competition to improve the team's squad depth.
