Lamine Yamal injury scare Barcelona star could miss weeks after Celta Vigo clash

Terrible news is coming for Barcelona as they are in the last lap of La Liga. Lamine Yamal got injured while taking a penalty vs. Celta Vigo in a league match today. Yamal won the penalty kick from a foul and scored it in style, but he got injured and was replaced by Roony in the 46th minute.

Early signs point to serious muscle problem

The player will undergo tests tomorrow, and further confirmations will come from the club. It is visually visible that Yamal injured his hamstring, and some sources suggest it's a hamstring tear, but it will be confirmed only after tests. There are chances that injury happened in his groin area during the collision, leading to a penalty kick.

Uncertainty grows ahead of medical tests

If the player is affected by a hamstring tear, then his recovery time will depend on the grade of the tear.

If it's a grade 1 injury, then it will take up to 3 weeks for recovery; if it's a grade 2, then it will take 3 to 8 weeks of recovery time, and in the worst-case scenario, grade 3 will take up to 6 months to recover.

Now there’s a fear among fans that Will Yamal will miss the World Cup. This will be confirmed only after tests and official confirmation.
