Barcelona still lag behind financial goal
According to Victor Malo's reports, the football club is still about 12 million euros behind from reaching the required 1 to 1 ratio set by La Liga for free registration of the football club's players.
Deadline of June 30 sets the tone
At the moment, it is not expected that the problem will be solved by June 30 as the club needs to make profits, improve the net equity and show discipline in its finances during closing of the fiscal year. Failure to meet even one of the above conditions would only worsen Barcelona's financial situation.
Limited options to fix the gap
In order to come back to the 1 to 1 ratio within this short period, the football club needs to have some additional income from other sources, including an extra income as per the Dubai luxury complex contract, player selling or VIP seat sales which are expected to raise 28 million euros.
July offers a clearer path
Starting from July 1, there are chances that the financial position of the football club would change for better as the contracts with high-profile players such as Robert Lewandowski and Andreas Christensen are about to expire, thus reducing the football team wage expenses by about 32 million euros.
What it means for transfers
Without achieving the necessary financial goal by the specified period, the summer transfer window could increase the current 12M figure to reach 1:1 situation.
