As per reports from the Telegraph, Barcelona is one of the contenders to sign the wonderkid from Manchester United dubbed ‘Kid Messi’ from the age of 9. The player is now shining in the U18 Premier League with 18+ goals and tremendous performance on the left wing for the Red Devils; obviously, European giants are chasing him, so it will not be simple for United to keep the English wonderkid next summer.
Who Is JJ Gabriel?
JJ Gabriel is one of the most exciting talents to watch out for from England. The 15-year-old boy is already breaking his limits at the U18 Premier League; as per his father, he was expected to play in the U21 Premier League this season but didn’t because of age restrictions.
The kid is versatile, but his primary position is left winger. He has amazing dribbling quality for his age; we have seen him taking down multiple players on his run with the ball.Â
He tends to drift into the left half-space rather than going far wide with the ball, and he bravely dribbles into the box to take shots on goal, even though his strong foot is his right; however, he also uses his left foot to finish chances. He has a lot of trickery in his legs, which makes him even more dangerous on the pitch.
Father in Talks With Multiple European Clubs
The talent is still raw and needs to be developed a lot in the sense of physicality and decision-making. JJ Gabriel’s father is now talking to multiple clubs around Europe for his son’s future. As of now, the player’s camp prefers a move out of United this summer. If the financial aspect aligns with the club's interests, Barcelona may consider this a strategic long-term signing.
