Barcelona Midfielder Could Leave This Summer Despite Flick’s Trust

Casadó’s Future Remains Uncertain

The future of homegrown midfielder Marc Casadó is still uncertain at Barcelona. Casadó was linked to multiple European clubs last summer, but Flick and the player denied all offers and decided to stay, but this summer things are different because the player is still open to leaving Camp Nou in search of more playing time, reports SPORT.

Meeting Planned With Barcelona Sporting Department

Casado’s camp is scheduled to meet with Barcelona's sporting department to discuss his future, but the player has already communicated his concerns and expectations to Hansi Flick for next season. Flick loves the player, but Casado is not satisfied with the game time he is getting, and in midfield he has heavy competition with Marc Bernal and Frenkie de Jong, so the player will rethink his future.

Lack of Minutes Raising Concerns

The player doesn't want to leave, but he just doesn't want to be a bench warmer and needs to grow as a player on big stages, so a move is still not ruled out. Casado is not a typical Barca profile with great qualities with the ball, but he is an aggressive and defensive presence in midfield who could add value to midfield when the team wants to defend.

Barcelona Open to Possible Transfer

Barcelona doesn't want to force the player for a transfer, but if the player wants a move, then Barca is also open for it. The sale of Marc Casado will be a net profit for the team, as he is a player from the academy. Casado’s move cannot be ruled out because the player wants consistent playing time, but it is not assured in Barca because of high competition.
