Ferran Renewal Becomes Barca Priority
As star striker Robert Lewandowski leaves Barcelona, the Catalan's priority is to renew the contract of Ferran Torres and look for another high-quality striker from their target list, which includes big names like João Pedro and Julián Álvarez.
Ferran Torres Rejects Any Summer Transfer Move
Clubs like Aston Villa are ready to offer 50 million euros for Ferran Torres, but Barca is not planning to sell the player as of now, and Flick is completely satisfied with the performance of the player.
According to journalist David Bernabeu Reverter[SPORT] during a recent podcast appearance, he reported that Ferran Torres made a decision regarding his future at Barcelona; the 26-year-old Spanish striker wants a contract extension, or he wants to leave Barca as a free agent in the 2027 summer window. The Spanish attacker has no intention of accepting a transfer move this summer.
Barcelona Yet To Submit Official Contract Proposal
If Lewandowski had stayed at Barça, the club would have tried to get rid of Ferran Torres and sell him, something the player would certainly have categorically refused. Ferran Torres’ current contract situation is now becoming an important topic internally for Barcelona. The club appreciates his versatility, work rate, and goal contributions but still hasn't submitted a proposal yet.
With the player refusing transfer talks and wanting clarity over his future, discussions between Barcelona and Ferran’s camp are expected to become increasingly important in the coming months.
