They report Julian Alvarez has sent his brothers to Barcelona to look for a house. This development has again sparked rumors regarding the player's interest in choosing Barca.
Longstanding Interest Between Player and Club
Alvarez was ready to join Barca during his time at River Plate, but Barca signed Ferran Torres for a huge fee from City at that time, and Alvarez moved to City. There he became one of the best strikers in the world while playing with Erling Haaland.
Now Barca wants the player on the team, but financially they will not be able to pay the money Athletico is asking for, as Barca wants to sign players for other positions also this summer, and Athletico management insisted that they won’t sell him to Barca at any cost.
Possibility of Player Pressure Still Exists
